Once we've planned a tour together, you may confirm your request with a 50% deposit (wire transfer.) The remainder to be paid 30 days before your arrival in Bhutan. 4. We will handle the paperwork for your Bhutanese Tourist Visa. (All we need from you-- an emailed copy of your passport's photo/information page, as well as your home street address and occupation.) We will email you a Visa Confirmation which you can print out and must bring with you when you fly into Bhutan. 5. We will also handle your Druk Air tickets between Paro, Bhutan and the Druk Air transfer city of your choice-- either Bangkok (the most common), Kathmandu, Kolkata or Delhi. We will send your physical airline tickets to your home address. 6. You will handle your own flight and accommodation arrangements (on the airline of your choice) between your home and your chosen Druk Air transfer city. (For peace of mind, we recommend staying at least one night in the transfer city en route to Bhutan.) At any time before, during, or after your trip, we're totally available to answer any and all questions you have. Ask away -- we're standing by ready to help! |


| Do I have to travel with a guide? Yes, all tourists to Bhutan must travel with the services of a guide. If you aren't used to traveling in a guided group you may be pleasantly surprised at the level of comfort and access your guide and your driver provide. What is included in the cost of my trip? Guide services, all meals (full breakfast, lunch and dinner), all accommodations, all transportation within Bhutan, admission to museums and historic sites, is included. You need only pay for souvenirs, alcohol and any gratuities. Why do I need to make a Wire Transfer? Is it safe? Credit cards are still unusual in Bhutan and extremely expensive to process, so almost all Bhutanese tour companies prefer wire transfers. We realize it may feel odd transferring your payment half way around the globe by wire! Rest assured, we have done this many, many times with no problems. If you like, we are very happy to provide you with guest references in your country to contact. Wouldn't it be better for me to use a travel company in my own country? While An office in your home country may be reassuring the extra overhead results in higher tour costs, larger groups and less value for your money while you are in Bhutan. Our satisfied customers say it all. What should I pack? The recommended packing list will vary depending on your tour and time of travel. We will provide you with am appropriate packing list based on your itinerary and time of travel. Is Bhutan safe for women traveling alone? Yes, Bhutan is a very safe country with an extremely low crime rate. Women are greatly respected in Bhutan and tourists are considered honored guests. What about gay & lesbian travelers to Bhutan? All tourists are considered as honored guests. However homosexuality is still largely unacknowledged in Bhutanese culture; and as such, it's invisible. Bhutanese people do not engage in public displays of affection. We have been proud to host gay and lesbian guests (and repeat gay and lesbian guests) over the years. What if I'm a vegetarian? Tell us! We will be sure that all of your meals are vegetarian feasts! Bhutanese food is almost all grown within Bhutan and is some of the purest, healthiest food you will ever taste! |
